About Dana Farida
Dana Farida, renowned Egyptian dancer, choreographer and teacher, has accumulated more than two decades of artistic experience. His career began with training in Dance Pedagogy at the Municipal Theater of São Paulo, complemented by degrees in Performing Arts, Literature and Music. Initially introduced to the world of dance through classical ballet, she channeled her focus exclusively to Arabic dances after this first contact.

Dedicating herself tirelessly to the study of Egyptian culture for the past 12 years, Dana has honed her skills with the world's greatest teachers, including Dina, Raqia Hassan, Randa, Dandash, and other prominent figures. His transcendent talent led Brazil to be recognized internationally at events held in the United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Argentina, Lebanon, Jordan, Spain, Chile and France.
Since 2014, Dana has held the position of Artistic Director of Dana Dança Oriental EgÃpcia in São Paulo, contributing significantly to the development and dissemination of this artistic form in the country. Her merits did not go unnoticed, being awarded Academic and Professional Merit by the Brazilian Academy of Culture.

Dana Farida's international recognition reached its peak in 2022, when she became a Member of the International Council of World Dance by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Furthermore, in 2021, she was invited to represent Egyptian Oriental Dance at the Dance Festival in Joinville, Santa Catarina, and, in the previous year, she played the role of representative of Arab Dances at the International Dance and Citizenship Forum of the State of São Paulo .

Dana Farida conquered the world scene by becoming champion of the Ahlan wa Sahlan Festival in 2017, one of the most prestigious competitions in Egyptian oriental dance. Since then, his expertise has been sought after at festivals in Spain, Egypt and Chile, where he was part of the official jury. Since 2018, he has played the role of official Master Teacher at the Ahlan wa Sahlan Festival. Her impact on the artistic scene is evident, being recognized as the Cover of issue 2 of Shimmie Magazine in 2011, one of the most influential publications in the world of Arabic dance.
